Kanlungan Launches Public Speaking and Leadership Program for Domestic Workers in Britain

Since the removal of the only concession, which protects migrant domestic workers from abuse and exploitation last April 2012, domestic workers from the Filipino community in Britain designed a project that will train domestic workers to become active in community action, take leadership roles, and manage a campaign that will aim to change the policy for their own protection. The project is divided into four main parts, and the Leadership and Public Speaking for Domestic Workers aspect of the project has begun.
